“As a law publishing outfit owned by Basil Momodu, Esq., we have been at the forefront of making published legal materials available to lawyers. It is our mission to make legal knowledge available and accessible to a wide readership

As a way of maximising the positive impacts we have made over the years and in order to further advance the frontier of legal knowledge, we have created Whatsapp groups for members of the legal profession to get regular updates on developments in case law from Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

In N.E.P.A. v. Auwal (2011) 5 NWLR (Pt. 1241) 571, the Court of Appeal held: “The law is dynamic and changes are made on a daily basis to accommodate the realities of the modern society.”

It is also important to get regular updates on changes in legislations. Legislations are part of the foundation stones for judicial decisions. In Ojo v. Umar (2024) 4 NWLR (Pt. 1927) p. 145, the LPDC held: “Lawyers should endeavour to keep themselves up to date with changes in legislations as such may alter their argument significantly.”

Moreover , the importance of scholarly books to a lawyer cannot be overemphasised. Our published legal materials and books will be made available to group members at reasonable prices.

In N.E.P.A. v. Auwal (Supra), the Court of Appeal said: “I think learned Counsel for the appellant should always go for the latest edition of books so that he may not be left behind.”

Furthermore, being a group member affords you an opportunity to be part of research-based discourses on legal matters on the platform and to listen to free scholarly lectures.
