The Chief Judge of Lagos State has approved the 24th day of December, 2019 to the 2nd day of January, 2020 for the Christmas vacation.
Justice Kazeem Alogba made this approval pursuant to Order 49 Rule 4 (C) of the High Court of Lagos (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.
According to the Notice which is dated 6th November, 2019 signed by the Chief Registrar, D.T Olatokun, work shall resume on the 3rd day of January, 2020.
The notice partly reads:
“Arrangements for dealing with urgent cases during the Christmas vacation are that each judge shall deal with urgent applications relating to substantive cause of which has not already been assigned will be dealt by the judge to whom the application was specifically assigned.
“Notwithstanding the provisions of Order 49 Rule 4 (C), any cause or matter may be heard by a judge during the period of the Christmas vacation where such a cause or matter is urgent and provided that conditions prescribed by Order 49 Rule 5 shall be observed and complied with
