Instagram and Twitter have locked the accounts of Kanye ‘Ye’ West for allegedly violating its policies.

The controversial US rapper was first restricted by Instagram on Friday after which he took to Twitter, where he tweeted on Saturday for the first time since 2020.

According to AP, spokespersons for both social media giants on Sunday said the singer shared messages that violated their policies.

Barely a few hours after Kanye West returns to Twitter as a result of a restriction on his Instagram account, he gets suspended too on the microblogging app.

The world’s richest man, Elon Musk has warmly welcomed Kanye West back to Twitter who was last seen on microblogging in November 2020, Election Day.

His twitter account has remained inactive for nearly two years and it took a restriction on Instagram for the Yeezy mogul to use the microblogging site once again.

The Grammy award-winning rap star had his Instagram account restricted over the weekend for violating the site’s policies with an apparent anti-Semitic post.

The American Jewish Committee (AJC) had called out the rapper over his use of language in a now-deleted post which they noted perpetuated “anti-Semitic tropes like greed and control”.

That followed immediately after the “Donda” crooner had shared a screenshot of a text exchange between himself and Diddy, in which allegedly appeared to show West claiming that Combs was controlled by Jewish people. “Jesus is Jew,” he wrote in the caption.

Consequently, West moved his activities to Twitter where he immediately called out his estranged ‘nigga’ Mark for the restriction on his Instagram account.

The Tesla boss however took the opportunity to welcome back his ‘friend’ Ye after a long time to the microblogging app.

He wrote: “Welcome back to Twitter, my friend.”

West wasted no time in retweeting Musk’s welcome back message.

But as of the time of this report, the Yeezy boss’ Twitter account has been suspended too for the perceived anti-Semitic post.

The tweet in question which has been removed was another rant against Jewish people.

“I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going full death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone whoever opposes your agenda,” the tweet reads.

The rapper earlier faced a wave of criticism after wearing a shirt reading “White Lives Matter” during his surprise Yeezy Season 9 fashion show in Paris.
