YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been served with an immediate 60-day boxing suspension after suffering a brutal knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua that left him with a double jaw fracture.

The 28-year-old shared a video from hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning after driving himself to the emergency department following their £200 million Netflix blockbuster fight.

Paul lasted six rounds with the former heavyweight world champion in Miami, with X-rays later revealing a double break in his jaw in two places.

Anthony Joshua struggled to land any significant shots for the first four rounds, which descended into a farce as Paul continually fell to the canvas.

However, the former heavyweight world champion turned the screw in the fifth round with two knockdowns.

And in the sixth, he ended the bout for good with a crushing right hand.

The massive blow left Paul spitting blood inside the ring as he conducted an interview.

He then revealed he had a suspected broken jaw – with the inside of his mouth seemingly mangled by AJ’s raw power.

Paul confirmed those fears with an Instagram post after getting behind the wheel to check himself in at the hospital.

He shared a video in a Jake vs Joshua T-shirt, shorts and white Nike socks and trainers lying on a hospital bed.

Paul was hooked up to various tubes to monitor his condition after the brutal defeat.

He used the famous voiceover quote from Ted – “I’m a little f***ed up but will you take care of me forever and ever?” – and attempted to mouth the lip sync to his brother Logan.

Strangely, Logan was stood beside Jake in his all-black outfit including a leather jacket staring solemnly into the ground.

Jake captioned the post: “Broken jaw guys thanks for all the support I’m ok.”

A secondary post of the X-ray revealed a double break in two places.

Logan then uploaded a smiling picture from the same room in the emergency department at the hospital.

He typed: “Proud brother of an absolute warrior, broke his jaw but can’t break his spirit.”

The Miami fight was sanctioned by the Florida Athletic Commission (FAC).

FAC rules dictate that boxers that have been knocked out must be banned from competition for at least 60 days.

Should the knockout be considered particularly brutal, this number could be extended.

Paul revealed his injury in his post-fight interview with Ariel Helwani in the ring.

“I think my jaw is broken, by the way. It’s definitely broke,” he said.

“But that was a nice little a** whopping from one of the best to ever do it.

“I love this s***, but I’m going to come back and get a championship belt at some time.

“I’m feeling good, that was fun. I love this sport. I gave it my all, It’s f***ing crazy. I had a blast.

“I got my a** beat, but that’s what this sport is about. I’m going to come back and keep on winning.”

Plenty of Jake’s fans flooded the comments with messages of support.

One said: “Come back harder champ.”

Another wrote: “Get well soon okay get lots of rest.”

A third typed: “You’re a brave guy, Jake, respect.”

And a final user simply replied: “Warrior.”

The Problem Child managed to dance around Joshua’s shots during the early rounds, with AJ struggling to land any significant strikes.

However, the pressure finally told in round five, with Paul twice being knocked down before being brutally finished by a devastating right hand in the sixth round.

The knockout blow was so severe that Paul was left visibly injured and bleeding inside the ring.

Despite the devastating defeat and serious injury, Paul vowed to return to boxing and eventually win a championship belt.

His brother Logan’s supportive presence at the hospital and his statement about Jake’s unbreakable spirit suggest the YouTuber-turned-boxer intends to continue his boxing career once he recovers from the double jaw fracture.

The 60-day mandatory suspension means Paul will be barred from any boxing competition for at least two months, though the severity of his injury may require a longer recovery period before he can return to the ring.
