INEC went ahead with the election as it said it was yet to be served a court order which was obtained by the candidate of KOWA party whose nomination became a subject of contention between the electoral body and KOWA party. In protest, the KOWA party and its supporters boycotted Saturday re-run polls on the strength that their candidate Barrister Kwamoti Laori the former federal legislator representing the constituency who was sacked by an Abuja Court of Appeal was not recognized by INEC.
