Businessman and entertainer Emeka Okonkwo, widely known as E-Money, has voiced his disappointment after streamer Carter Efe destroyed a car he had gifted him, describing the act as unnecessary and excessive.

The controversy followed a livestream stunt on Saturday involving Carter Efe and fellow content creator Peller, during which the vehicle was damaged. E-Money addressed the issue on Sunday when both streamers visited him.

In a clip from the visit, E-Money said he was unhappy that the car he presented as a gesture of appreciation was wrecked in less than 24 hours. According to him, the gift was meant to recognise Carter Efe’s efforts and creative work.

“To be honest, I wasn’t happy about you guys destroying the car I gifted Carter Efe in less than 24 hours. I gave you the car because I appreciate what you’re doing,” he said.

The businessman further criticised the decision to go ahead with the destruction during a livestream, noting that many viewers were watching and could be influenced by such behaviour.

“You went overboard by destroying the car. You know, a lot of people were watching you. However, the mistake has already been made. I forgive you. But it should not happen again,” he added.

The incident occurred after social media personalities Peller and Carter Efe were involved in a violent altercation, damaging each other’s vehicles in a live-streamed incident.

The dispute, which sparked widespread online attention, showed the duo smashing the windshields of their respective cars with stones.

According to Peller, the actions were retaliation for previous damages inflicted by Carter.

“The way I damaged the car, I was very happy. He kept his own GLE and kept destroying my things, and I wasn’t able to retaliate,” Peller said.

“I would go into his studio, and there would be nothing to break. So now that he has a new car, that’s when I can retaliate. He is Satan. My car is gone.”

Carter, however, dismissed Peller’s claims, saying, “I hate you, you are too rough.”

The incident occurred days after businessman E-Money gifted Carter a new car, which was among the damaged property.

The incident has sparked conversations online, with many lawyers calling for the streamers to be banned, saying they are promoting unruly behaviour that does not show good conduct.

Legal practitioners have expressed concern that such actions, broadcast live to thousands of viewers, could negatively influence young people and normalise destruction of property as entertainment.
