The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) has announced a training program focused on negotiation techniques and strategies for out-of-court settlement.

The institute recognizes that while litigation remains the most recognized form of dispute resolution worldwide, it can be formal, inflexible, and emotionally and financially draining for the parties involved.

The training, scheduled for July 11th, 2024, aims to highlight the benefits of resolving disputes outside the courtroom and equip participants with the necessary tools to effectively navigate conflicts through alternative dispute resolution methods. The course will also identify common pitfalls in out-of-court settlements and provide strategies to overcome them.

According to the ICMC, the training is open to both members and non-members of the institute, with a course fee of N20,000 for members and N35,000 for non-members. The session will be conducted via Zoom, making it accessible to participants from various locations.

The institute encourages interested individuals to register and make inquiries by contacting the provided phone numbers or email addresses
