Suspected thugs have laid siege to the Plateau State’s commercial centre, Ahmadu Bellow Way, destroying vehicles and disrupting business activities in the area.

Offices of a popular eatery, Mr. Biggs and Jaiz Bank were among the structures damaged by the rampaging youth.

Our correspondent observed that the area has been deserted and sporadic gunshots were heard.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when a group of youths believed to be #EndSARS protesters had blocked the commercial Ahmadu Bello Way, and another set of people disagreed to the barricade, causing unrest.

However, the Nigerian police were at the scene dispersing the hoodlums, shooting tear gas.
