A report from Anambra State, South East Nigeria says the State Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Agba Mba and his wife, were kidnapped by suspected gunmen this Friday, 16th August, 2024 along the road in Kogi State.

Unofficial sources claim that the couple were on their way to Abuja to attend the wedding ceremony of Governor Soludo’s daughter scheduled to hold on Saturday, August 17, 2024, when they were abducted.
Confirming the incident, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo, Chris Abarume told news men that actions were being taken to ensure that the victims are released safely and as quickly as possible.
But, the Police cammand in Anambra State says it is not aware of the kidnap incident involving a Commissioner from the State.
Command Police Public Relations officer, Tochukwu Ikenga in a telephone call, said such incident has not been reported to the Police in Anambra State.
Government officials and family members indicate that the suspected kidnappers had not made any contact, at the time of filing this report.
