The ongoing social media feud between Nigerian nightlife mogul Cubana Chief Priest and Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy continues to escalate, with both public figures exchanging heated remarks online.

It all began when Burna Boy, in a now-viral Instagram Story, referred to Cubana Chief Priest as “Owerri Ricky Rozay,” a nickname seemingly aimed at mocking the celebrity barman. Burna Boy wrote:

“No forget say u be Azaman o. And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL, and na u be next #OwerriRickyRozay.”

In a swift response, Cubana Chief Priest fired back on his own Instagram page, accusing Burna Boy of harboring resentment and being consumed by pain despite his global success. He said:

“Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD, you never see anything, you & your Bend down collect Grammy.”

He further accused Burna Boy of flaunting wealth while allegedly living in debt, referencing unpaid car purchases and credit-based luxury lifestyles.

Cubana Chief Priest continued:
“It’s so clear because how is it even possible that someone who brags to be so rich go dey live in so much pain? Wetin dey pain you? Shebi na you be African Princess. Only you rush bend down collect Grammy, only you still dey cry.”

The celebrity barman also recalled paying Burna Boy ₦1 million in 2018 to perform at his birthday as a backup artiste, further questioning the singer’s authenticity despite his privileged background.

The feud has since dominated social media discussions, with fans of both public figures taking sides and amplifying the drama.

Observers note that the exchange between the two celebrities highlights ongoing tensions in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, where ego clashes and public rivalries often become sensational topics.

“Whether this heated clash will escalate further or fizzle out remains to be seen. For now, the internet remains abuzz with every update from the Cubana-Burna saga, while Akpi’s lawyer Stan Alieke weighs in, saying: ‘Your petition claims that Diddy & baby oil banter has caused irreparable damage to your international reputation. Another person with more reach and influence just referenced the baby oil; the world is expecting you to arrest him, or the street will interpret it as cowardice.'”
