Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor made the announcement on Tuesday during a press conference, stating that the move was motivated by a desire to better serve the people of Enugu and align with APC’s vision for development and progress.
“Today, after a long reflection, we have made the decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party and join the All Progressives Congress,” Mbah said in a televised address.
He emphasized that his decision was aimed at reshaping the state and reorganizing its political structure. “Leadership sometimes demands painful decisions in the service of higher principles and goals. There comes a time when everyone must make a bold choice to determine their destiny,” he added.
Governor Mbah assured citizens that his commitment to advancing Enugu’s interests remains steadfast and expressed confidence that joining APC would open new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
