WEBINAR FOR GHANAIAN AND NIGERIAN LAWYERS

In collaboration the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) and Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH) regional project “Promotion of the rule of law and justice in Africa” would officially like to invite you to partake in a one-week webinar for lawyers.

The GIZ is a German public-benefit federate enterprise, which supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. Within the framework of this work, our supra regional project follows the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and aims to foster transnational dialogue on the rule of law and better access to justice for all.

Considering the ongoing pandemic and its likely impacts on the legal profession, this webinar will focus on topics such as

* COVID -19’s influence on the African Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA);
* Bankruptcy (Insolvency Act);
* Corporate Mergers and Acquisition (Aftermath of COVID-19);
* Employment law (Employment Issues arising – lay offs, pay cuts);
* The pandemic and the legal profession (Effects economically and in practice, Mitigation strategies; Incorporation of Legal Tech).
