Two staff of Signatious Hotel, Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta state, have been arrested in connection to the stripping of four workers over alleged theft.

This is coming after several human rights activists embarked on protests and petitioned the state Commissioner of Police for his arrest and prosecution.

Recall that the management of the hotel, stripped, photographed and arrested the victims for stealing varying sums of money.

The two staff, who were arrested Friday, were reportedly involved in the dehumanizing treatment unleashed on the four workers.

When contacted for comments, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa confirmed the arrest of the two hotel staff.

Inuwa said, โ€œIt is true, arrests were made based on the report we received. I have directed for a thorough investigation into the matter because nobody is above the law.

โ€œThe law of this country is not a respecter of anybody, so our investigation is going to be total. We are assuring that whoever have a hand in that case, during investigation, the truth will eventually come out.โ€
