The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has released the list of co-opted members of its National Executive Council (NEC) for the 2024-2026 term. The announcement was made by NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, following the approval of the 150 distinguished members at the NEC meeting held on November 7, 2024, in Enugu.

The co-option of members to the NEC is in line with Section 8(1)(e) of the NBA Constitution, 2015 (as amended in 2021). The newly appointed members are expected to contribute significantly to the growth and development of the association during their tenure.
President Osigwe expressed his congratulations to the co-opted members, stating, “I congratulate all members on their well-deserved appointment and look forward to their impactful contributions to our noble association.”
The NBA, the umbrella body of legal practitioners in Nigeria, periodically appoints distinguished members to its National Executive Council to ensure diverse representation and to tap into the expertise of seasoned legal professionals across the country.
The full list of the 150 co-opted NEC members for the 2024-2026 term has been made available by the NBA.
These members will serve alongside the elected national officers and representatives from the various branches of the association.
