The Council of Legal Education, through the Nigerian Law School, has issued an official public announcement dated February 4, 2026, outlining the procedure for eligible students to pay their Bar Part II tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The directive applies strictly to candidates who have received full admission into the Bar Part II programme, which commenced on February 2, 2026, at the Nigerian Law School headquarters in Abuja and campuses in Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yenagoa, Yola, and Port Harcourt.

According to the notice signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, the approved tuition fee for Nigerian students remains ₦476,000. All payments are to be made exclusively through the official Remita platform.

Students are required to log on to www.remita.net, select “Pay TSA/FGN & State,” choose “FGN: Federal Government of Nigeria,” and then click on “Pay a Biller.” In the payment field, candidates are to select “Council of Legal Education” and choose “Bar Part II – Nigerian” as the service purpose. They are also instructed to enter “Bar Part Two Tuition Fees” in the description field and ensure that their full name, with surname first, is correctly entered before completing payment.

The Council emphasized that only candidates with full admission status are eligible to make payment at this stage, warning that compliance with the specified process is necessary to avoid errors and ensure seamless registration.

The ₦476,000 tuition fee has remained unchanged since the 2023/2024 academic session, when it was increased from ₦296,000. Despite previous concerns raised by lawmakers over the hike, the current fee structure remains in effect for the 2025/2026 Bar Part II programme.
