The final rites of Sir Granville Isetima Abibo, SAN, JP (1961-2020), have been announced by the family.

The scheduled rites are as follows;

Day 1: November 18, 2020.
— Service of Songs, at St John Anglican Church Abuloma, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. By 04:00pm.

Day 2: November 19, 2020.
— Day of Tribute and Colloquium, at the NBA House in Port Harcourt, by 12:00pm—3:00pm

Day 3: November 20, 2020.
— Valedictory Court Session, at the ceremonial court of the Chief Judge, High Court complex Port Harcourt, by 09:00am—11:00am

— Thanksgiving Service, at the St. Peter’s Cathedral Okrika, by 12:00pm—02:00pm.

Recall that Sir Granville Abibo SAN, passed-on in the early hours of the 14th day of June, 2020, after a brief illness. Until his death, he was the Managing Solicitor of Granville Abibo (SAN) & Co, a Porthacourt based Law firm.

He was called to the Bar on 27th July 1985, and holds a Master Degree (LL.M) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (formerly University of Ife) Nigeria, 1989.

Prior to his demise, the learned silk was actively involved in legal practice, specializing in Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Practice, Arbitration and Criminal Law cases.

He was a Notary Public of the Supreme Court of Nigeria since 1999, and was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on 26th August 2011 at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

May the Almighty grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
