EXPELLING A FEMALE CHILD FROM SCHOOL BECAUSE OF PREGNANCY IS UNLAWFUL.
Gone are the days female children were punished and expelled from schools in Nigeria because of pregnancy.
Every female child that becomes pregnant during education must be given opportunity after delivery to complete her education on her individual ability.
My authorities are sections 15(5), 277 and 278 of the Child’s Rights Act, 2003 and the similar laws in some states across Nigeria.
