Former National Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ewenode. O. William, has expressed concern over the abduction of Jimoh Egwali and the security situation of the country.
Ewenode, in his statement titled: “A CLARION CALL FOR THE SECURITY AGENCIES TO ENSURE THE SPEEDY RELEASE UNHURT OF OUR COLLEAGUE- JIMOH EGWALI,” and made available to TheNigerialawyer(TNL), said the pervading security situation across the country has led to so much palpable fear in the air.
“There is hardly a day that the media do not report serious security cases ranging from the operations of the terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers resulting in deaths and kidnap of Nigerians.
“The sad news of the kidnap of the Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Agbor Branch, Mr. Jimoh Egwali who was returning from Benin to Agbor, is another news too many.
“I, therefore, call on the various Security Agencies who have been doing their very best for our Country, to see to the speedy release unhurt of our vice Chairman- Mr. Jimoh Egwali.
