The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has clarified that complaints of victims during the EndSars protest may also be forwarded to the national body through any of the NBA Branches in Nigeria.

This is contained in a Notice signed by the NBA National Welfare Secretary, Kunle Edun.

According to Edun, branches will in turn forward details of the victims to them

“The branches are requested to do formal letters containing the details of the victims,” he said

He added that “Non-lawyers may write directly to the NBA or any NBA branch and forward soft copies to us via publicinterest@nigerianbar.org.ng and 07062108806 (WhatsApp).”

Kunle requested for pictures also and, if available, be sent via him or the NBA 1st Vice-President, John Aikpokpo-Martins, Esq.

He said, “Pictures of the victims, if available will be helpful. All hard copies must be sent to the NBA National Secretariat and addressed to the 1st Vice President, John Aikpokpo Martins and #EndSars written at the top right-hand side.”

Kunle emphasized that the “information is necessary for tracking and record purposes. Soft copies should be forwarded to the 1st VP, John Aikpokpo Martins 08023063841 (WhatsApp) or the National Welfare Secretary, Kunle Edun on 08038695936 (WhatsApp).
