The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Makurdi zonal office, Tuesday arraigned one Akintunde Ogunrinde for withdrawing money from one Mr. Ademola Adewuyi without his permission.

Ogunrinde, popularly known as ‘Kekere’, was on October 15, 2019, arraigned on a one-count charge for intent to defraud.

The commission’s Zonal Head of Public Affairs Department, Nwanyimma Okeanu, in a statement noted that Ogunrinde is alleged to have used a UBA ATM card belonging to one Ademola Adewuyi to obtain the sum of N800,000 only from a UBA ATM machine.

He was arraigned before Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon sitting at the Federal High Court Makurdi, Benue State.

“The office of the zonal head, EFCC Makurdi had received a pettition from a complainant against Akintunde Ogunrinde (a.k.a. Kekere) alleging that Akintunde and one Alhaji Baba (a.k.a. White) now at large used an ATM card belonging to the victim to obtain unauthorized money from his account. The defendant and one other were alleged to have committed conspiracy, aiding and abetting; offences under cybercrime.
