The Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association has notified all candidates in the 2026 NBA National Elections that voting will hold on Saturday, July 18, 2026, while all campaign activities must end by 5:00 p.m. WAT on Friday, July 17, 2026.

In a notice dated July 16, 2026, and issued from the ECNBA Secretariat at NBA House, No. 9 Oro-Ago Street, Garki, Abuja, the Committee said voting would take place on the e-voting platform for a 24-hour period.

According to the notice, voting will open at 12:00 a.m. WAT on Saturday, July 18, and close at 11:59 p.m. WAT the same day.

The Committee warned that no vote would be accepted after 11:59 p.m. WAT.

The ECNBA also directed that all forms of campaign activity by candidates, their agents or supporters must cease by 5:00 p.m. prompt on Friday, July 17, 2026.

It said candidates and their supporters are strictly required to comply with the deadline.

“All candidates are enjoined to take note of the above dates and to ensure strict compliance,” the notice stated.

The Committee warned that any campaign activity carried out after the stipulated deadline would amount to a violation of the campaign rules and would attract appropriate sanctions in accordance with the NBA Constitution and the Election Guidelines.

The ECNBA reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a free, fair, transparent, inclusive and credible 2026 NBA National Elections.

The notice was signed by Aham Ejelam, SAN, Chairman of the ECNBA 2026, and Ibrahim Aliyu Nassarawa, Esq., Secretary of the Committee.
