The Immediate past Vice Chairman of NBA Anaocha Branch Dr. Destiny Chukwudi Nnagbo (Mmirioma Ezeagu) has commended the 1st Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association John Aikpokpo Martins and the Welfare Secretary, Kunle Edun and Clement Chukwuemeka (Chairman NBA Bwari Branch) for securing the release of the three heads of chambers, in Orlu, Imo state.

Dr. Destiny Chukwudi Nnagbo in a telephone conversation with TheNigerialawyer described John Aikpokpo Martins and Kunle Edun as the “ENGINE HOUSE” of this present NBA administration.
He said: “It was a breakthrough and a plus for the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) as it secured the release of members of Orlu Branch who were arrested and detained by men of the Nigeria Police working under IRT, a unit under the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
“This is a heroic breakthrough for the NBA as the 1st Vice President John Aikpokpo Martins and Kunle Edun (National Welfare Secretary) and Clement Chukwuemeka (Chairman NBA Bwari Branch today. The courtesy visit to the office of the DIG, Force CID aided in facilitating the release of our colleagues who have been in detention for the past two days.”
He further describes the leadership of the NBA as energetic and problem-solving.
“The style of the Nigerian Bar Association’s Leadership under Mr. Olumide Apkata is positively unprecedented. John Aikpokpo-Martins and Kunle Edun are the “Engine House of the NBA” and their quick response and intervention is timely and heroic,” Dr. Destiny added.
TheNigeriaLawyer earlier reported that Charles Duru Esq., Dozie Okoronkwo Esq., and Victor Okonkwo Esq. were arrested on April 14 for allegedly making phone calls with suspects by the Police.
Dr. Chukwudi Esq. Praised the NBA and the Attorney General of the Federation for keeping their promise and living above expectations. He similarly, encouraged them not to lower their colours and not to bow to the harmless barking of Injustice that threatened to tear the country apart imploring them to synergy and make the Independence of the Judiciary a reality.
It may interest you to know that the duo of John Aikpokpo-Martins and Kunle Edun have been round the clock, touring the country in a bid to secure the release of detained members and visiting those who have been physically attacked by kidnappers. This is geared towards ensuring unity and stability in the NBA and running all-inclusive administration.
On the same note, Dr. Destiny Chukwudi Nnagbo Esq. (Mmirioma Ezeagu) commended the Attorney of the Federation Mr. Abubakr Malami SAN for his qualitative and productive leadership style. He described the AGF as a team player and the “ENGINE HOUSE of BUHARI’S ADMINISTRATION”.
He commended Mr. Malami for standing with the JUSUN in the struggle for Financial Autonomy and his strive geared towards instilling modest practice of rule of law in Nigeria. He however wished and prayed Mr. Malami “the Legal Jagaban” speedy recovery and better recuperation to continue his good work in the country.
