The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in its determination to standardize processes and procedures with a view to making them more business-friendly in line with the ease of doing business policy of the Federal Government, the CAC has introduced new Checklists.

TNL recalls that at the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law and CAC stakeholders forum last week 19th of March, 2020, the Registrar of CAC stated that there would be a new checklist and the said checklist would be available on the CAC website for the public to review.

“In order to remedy the above stated and in order to ensure the CAC checklist/guidelines reflect the New CAMA 2020 Bill, the Commission has reviewed its checklist. The said checklist will be made public on the Commission’s website this weekend; the public will be given two weeks to review and send opinion(s) to the Commission, after which the Commission will harmonise and present the new checklist to the Commission’s board for approval.

“The New checklist which will be the CAC bible for practitioners is expected to be ready by 1st of May.

“Lawyers are eagerly expecting the new checklist, as it is hoped that CAC’s process will become simpler and more unified,” he said

The CAC is requesting for comments and suggestions to be sent to ttayua@cac,gov.ng,
mabdullahi@cac.gov.ng,and tsonaike@cac.gov.ng on or before Monday 6th April 2020.
