Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has escalated her ongoing public dispute with Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, by releasing a video in which she displays an envelope containing $10,000 in cash, claiming it was handed to her by the cleric in two instalments of $5,000 each.

In the viral Instagram video, Ogala alleged that the money delivered in a Zenith Bank envelope on December 23, 2025 was offered as part of efforts to persuade her to retract previous statements and falsely claim that other pastors instigated her accusations against him. She firmly rejected the request, stating, “I will not lie on any pastor or put it on any pastor’s head.”

Ogala insisted the payment was not a bribe or settlement meant to silence her, emphasising that the issue “is not about money” and that she accepted it temporarily only to provide public proof of contact. She prayed over the cash, declaring it would not become a “transaction” influencing her stance, and maintained her original claims, including allegations of breached marriage promises and unauthorised sharing of private images.

The actress faced backlash earlier after a prior video in which she reportedly demanded $50,000 compensation, a monthly payroll position, or lifetime business shares from Okafor as redress. In response to criticism labelling her demands as extortion, Ogala clarified that stating her terms was encouraged by the pastor but said she rejected what she described as a “setup” to later portray her as a blackmailer.

Ogala also denied unrelated drug-use allegations, admitting only to smoking cigarettes, and challenged authorities to substantiate claims about items allegedly found in her home. She expressed fear of intimidation, including possible use of law enforcement, but vowed to continue speaking out, saying she feels “deeply wronged by betrayal.”

The controversy stems from Ogala’s earlier accusations that Okafor promised marriage since 2017, introduced her to his family, and caused her emotional and financial harm before marrying another woman. She previously sued for ₦1 billion in damages and was briefly detained amid the feud.

Pastor Chris Okafor and his team have not issued a fresh response to the latest allegations as of publication. The saga continues to divide public opinion, with calls for investigation on both sides.
