In Nigeria, an applicant for driver’s licence must undergo the following medical fitness examination:
1. Vision acuity;
2. Blood pressure assessment for hypertension;
3. Blood sugar for diabetes;
4. Visual acuity and colour blindness;
5. Chronic arthritis examination;
6. E.E.G screening for epilepsy; 7. Ear defect.
The medical examination shall be carried out in any government hospital.
