The President identified that the standard of our legal education is too poor and too weak and charged the new DG to do all he can to raise standards.
The President noted particularly the need to raise the bar pass mark from 40% and the class of students that are admitted into the Nigerian Law School where 3rd class students and even those with pass degrees get in.
The new DG pledged to further build on the successes of past administrations of the Scholol and also address other deficiencies such as manpower training and development, welfare of staff and infrastructure.
He assured all that he would run an open door administration. Many dignitaries and members of the legal profession and Council of Legal Education, such as Prof Ernest Ojukwu SAN, Prof Adewopo SAN, Former Secretary of Council Alhaji Usman Attorney-Gen Nasarawa State attended the ceremony.
