Zahra Buhari-Indimi, the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari in defence of her father, has stated that it should now be obvious to Nigerians that recent discovery that COVID-19 palliatives are being hoarded in warehouses is evidencing the fact that Buhari is not the problem of Nigeria.

She stated this on Sunday vide her Instagram Stories.

“Now that people confirmed that Buhari distributed enough palliatives nationwide, it is clear Buhari is not our problem”, she said.

TheNigeriaLawyer recalls that Nigerians have in recent times plundered several warehouses across several States where COVID-19 palliatives are ‘kept’, a fall out of the #EndSARS protest.

In some instances, COVID-19 palliatives donated by the private sector-led Coalition Against COVID-19 were found in private homes of politicians.

This has attracted criticisms across several quarters and defences from various State Governments why the palliatives are still being kept, in the case of Osun State for example, it was stated that the State was waiting for same to be officially commissioned.

In Kwara, the Government stated that the Government had already begun the distribution process adding that only 1 Local Government is left.

Meanwhile, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has asked Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged hoarding of COVID-19 palliatives in warehouses in several states.

It would be recalled that several business moguls including industrialist, Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Femi Otedola, Oba Otudeko, Folorunsho Alakija, Tony Elumelu, and several others had donated over N30 billion in cash and food items to assist Federal and State Governments in tackling the attendant consequences of COVID-19 pandemic.
