A Magistrate’s Court in Ndiawa, Ideato North Local Council of Imo State, presided over by Austin Onyenze, has adjourned till January 12, 2016, in a alleged theft case preferred against a lawyer, Uche Ohia and father, Chief Hilary Ohia. The accused persons and the complainant were present in the court on December 16.

The duo had been charged with alleged “conspiracy, destroying property and theft of generating set valued at N3 million” belonging to the accused persons’s kinsman and a Senior Drilling Fluid Engineer in oil and gas sector, Jideofor Chidinma Okoro, who is also, a Knight of Catholic Church.

When the case in suit number MID/2c/2014, was mentioned on Wednesday, December 16, the presiding magistrate, Onyenze called for the cross-examination of the complainant, Okoro.

The complainant said the land, Anakeonye, located at Akameuno, Aronndizuogu, Ideato Local Council of the state, was the property of his biological father, Mazi Chidinma Jonathan Okoro, before he gave it to him with Power of Attorney and Survey Plan among others, for building a bungalow.

He also disclosed that remains of his late paternal ground mother, Alfreda Nnetti Okoro, were buried in the land in 1992, when he was barely 16 years -old.
