The Council of Legal Education has announced the requirements for candidates appearing for the Nigerian Law School’s March 2024 Call to Bar ceremonies. Candidates are required to provide the following:

  • Evidence of payment of N30,000 for Call to Bar processing fee into the Body of Benchers Call to Bar account at Zenith Bank
  • Evidence of payment of N10,000 Alumni fee into the Council of Legal Education Treasury Single Account at any commercial bank
  • Original and photocopies of LL.B certificate
  • Original and photocopies of Law School identity card
  • Printout of the candidate’s Law School result

The Council stated that candidates should come with these documents for the screening exercise ahead of the Call to Bar ceremonies in March. The memo was issued by the Director of Administration (Students’ Affairs), Mr Chinedu Ukekwe, on behalf of the Acting Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration.

The Call to Bar marks the official enrollment of new wigs as legal practitioners in Nigeria.
