In a letter dated Monday, April 28, 2025, Chief Gadzama praised Dr. Nwafor’s outstanding academic achievement, describing the doctorate as a testament to his exceptional dedication to excellence, leadership, and scholarly pursuit.
“The rank of Doctor of Philosophy is a highly respected one, both in academia and society at large. Your investiture with this rank reflects the recognition of your exceptional academic and leadership qualities, and the dedication to excellence which you have diligently pursued to this day,” Chief Gadzama wrote.
Dr. Nwafor serves as the librarian of the Hon. Justice M.L. Uwais, GCON, CJN (Rtd) Library — a distinguished physical and e-law library housed at J-K Gadzama LLP. He was among 14 scholars who were awarded Doctorates in Library Science by the Senate of the University of Calabar during the institution’s 37th Combined Convocation Ceremony and 50th Anniversary celebrations, held from March 17 to 22, 2025.
This milestone, according to Chief Gadzama, further highlights the high standards for which the Hon. Justice M.L. Uwais GCON CJN (Rtd) Library is globally recognized.
Speaking on his latest achievement, Dr. Nwafor expressed profound gratitude to the management of J-K Gadzama LLP. He pledged to leverage his academic advancement to promote knowledge sharing and enhance the quality of library services for the benefit of the firm’s staff and the broader legal profession.
