The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, has issued a corrigendum correcting the Body of Benchers Call to Bar fee payable by Call candidates.

In the notice dated June 1, 2026, the Council clarified that the Body of Benchers Call to Bar fee is ₦40,000 and not ₦50,000 as earlier published.

According to the corrigendum, candidates who had already paid the previously announced ₦50,000 fee will receive a refund of the difference after the necessary reconciliation process is carried out following the Call to Bar ceremony.

“The Body of Benchers Call to the Bar fee is ₦40,000 and not ₦50,000 as earlier published,” the notice stated.

“The Body of Benchers will refund the difference in the amount paid after carrying out the necessary reconciliation process following the Call to the Bar ceremony,” it added.

The Council apologised to Call candidates for the error and any inconvenience it may have caused.

“The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School regrets any inconvenience this error may have caused to the Call Candidates,” the notice stated.

The corrigendum was signed by Aderonke O. Osho, Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration.

The clarification follows an earlier notice on the Call to Bar process for successful candidates, which had listed the Body of Benchers Call to Bar fee as ₦50,000.

With the correction, the mandatory payments earlier announced for candidates are expected to be adjusted to reflect the revised Body of Benchers fee.
