The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, has unveiled a new website with two different separate domains for Pre-incorporations and post-incorporations respectively this

A source confirmed to TheNigeriaLawyer that for all pre-incorporations, the website is pre.cac.gov.ng while post.cac.gov.ng is for post-incorporations

Source further said that the Commission will now upload electronic signature and passport photographs. This means that there will be no more printing out first before you sign and scan (EDMS)

This is to ensure seamless processes and there will be no more pickup locations as CAC will now issue e-certificates, TheNigerialawyer gathered.

However, it has not been made official by the Commission, TheNigerialawyer awaits for more details from the Commission on the full features of the websites.

TNL recalls that CAC had stated on December 24, 2020, that in a bid to commence the implementation of the Companies & Allied Matters Act, 2020, it shall be embarking on a system upgrade and therefore, making its portal inaccessible.

“This is to inform our esteemed customers and the general public that in line with our implementation plan for Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020, the Commission has upgraded its registration software to accommodate the changes introduced by the new law on existing entities. The upgrade will also enable all customers to do all post-registration filings electronically.”

The Commission further stated that its registration portal will not be accessible from 28th December, 2020 to 3rd January, 2020 in order “to allow for seamless migration to the new platform “.
