Brisk Maritime Services Ltd has written the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, over what it described as “prolonged registration”.

Uchenna Mgboji Esq., who writes on behalf of the company said the registration process commenced four months ago but was delayed over increase of share capital from N20m to 25m.

He said despite the paying for the increase and availing receipts for all the payments, registration of the company is yet to be approved.

He laments that the delay has brought embarrassment to his person and his clients have lost customers as a result of the delay.

He urged CAC to act expeditiously on his complaint

Dear Madam,

RE: PROLONGED REGISTRATION OF COMPANY- BRISK MARITIME SERVICES LIMITED

I act as solicitors to BRISK MARITIME SERVICES LIMITED hereinafter referred to as our client and on whose instruction I write.

Please be informed that I began the registration process of the company under reference and I duly uploaded the necessary documents on your portal on the 28 of July 2020, which was later queried by your commission on the 11th August 2020. The query reads thus “Increase share capital to 25m…”.

Be advised that everything was done as directed, paid for the necessary fees for increase in share capital, uploaded and resolved the query immediately.

It has been about four months I began the registration of the company, unfortunately, the commission has failed and/or refused to approve my registration or even rectify the increase from 20 Million to 25 Million till date.

I have made all possible efforts to reach out to your office through your phone lines, but none was connecting. I also proceeded to send numerous emails, but i hardly received any reply from any of your agents. I wonder the essence of those emails and phone numbers when we do not get replies from any of your staff.

The most frustrating thing about the whole registration was when someone from your office called to inform me that all my payments were invalid and has been used by some other customer. I asked why, and they turned off the call, and since went dark on me.

This prolonged registration of the company has brought embarrassment on my person and an untold hardship on my clients as they (My clients) have lost potential clients as a result of your failure and/or refusal to register a simple company for over FOUR months and counting, hence a direct letter to your offices. Find below the details of the proposed company:

Name: Brisk Maritime Service Limited

Availability Code: 04303934524

Unresolved Query: Increase of Share from 20M to 25M

Date of Query: August 11th 2020

I have attached the letter and all the receipts I had earlier sent to your Lagos office before the policy, which barred physical presence at your Abuja and Lagos offices.

Kindly see to it that you use your good offices to increase the share capital from 20millon to 25 million, having paid the necessary fees, so I can conclude my company registration, please.

I shall be looking forward to a favourable response at your earliest convenience.

Kind regards
