The Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria has finally conducted its election for available positions yesterday, 29/& May 29th. This election was held alongside the annual general meeting of the body.

The vacant positions were that of the Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Programming and publicity Secretary.

The presiding chairman of the body, Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN inaugurated the new excos, and the successful elected officers include;

* Mr. Oladipo Olasope, SAN
Assistant Secretary:

* Mrs. Abimbola Akeredolu, SAN
Treasurer

* Mrs. Jean Chiazor Anishere, SAN Financial Secretary

Programming and publicity Secretary.

You will recall an earlier publication by the Nigerian lawyer about the plans by BOSAN to hold its AGM and elections on Saturday, the 29th of May, scheduled to take place at the Dinning Hall of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, at 11am. This was after the postponement of the election from April 23rd, 2022 it was first scheduled to hold.

The election was for the vacancy in some of the offices established under article 7 of the BOSAN Constitution. While the offices of the chairman and vice chairman is the Attorney General provided he is a SAN and the most senior member of the body that indicated willingness to serve, there existed other positions such as the secretary, assistant secretary, financial secretary, treasurer and programme and public secretary which was contested for by interested aspirants.
