The Body of Benchers Nigeria will hold its 2nd Annual Lecture and Public Presentation of the Report of the Directions of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Abuja.

The event, themed “Body of Benchers: Beyond Call to Bar,” will be chaired by the Chairman of the Body of Benchers, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, GCON, who will serve as the Chief Host.

Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, will deliver the keynote address at the lecture.

The event will feature a panel of distinguished legal luminaries and public officials:

  • Hon. Justice C.N. Uwa — Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
  • Patricia Lawal-Rabana, SAN — Life Bencher
  • Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN — Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC)

The Body of Benchers is the highest body responsible for the formal call to the Nigerian Bar of persons seeking to become legal practitioners in Nigeria. The Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC), whose report will be publicly presented at the event, is responsible for disciplining erring legal practitioners in Nigeria.
