The family of Bimbo Ogbonna, the late wife of IVD, the celebrity car dealer, has claimed that he is on the run.

IVD, real name Ikechukwu Ogbonna, has been enmeshed in a series of allegations since his wife’s death.

Mama Jazz, the sister to Bimbo, had accused the Lagos-based businessman of killing her.

In a statement released by the family, they said “Ogbonna has been on the run” since his wife’s death.

The family also demanded justice while saying that law enforcement is making effort to apprehend him to “answer for his crime”.

“As you may be aware, on Saturday 15th October 2022, Abimbola Martins passed away,” the statement reads.

“It has been a heartbreaking period for her parents, siblings, and particularly, her children.

“Several times during the course of their marriage, we intervened in a bid to rescue her from a terrible situation that ultimately has now taken her life.

“The perpetrator of this dastardly act, her husband of 16 years, Ikenna Darry! Ogbonna, an auto dealer widely known as IVD, is currently on the run, hoping to evade justice. We know that it won’t be forever.

“As the family tries to come to terms with this terrible loss, we want to appeal to members of the public to join us in demanding that justice is done.

“We are currently working with law enforcement to ensure that Ikenna Darryl Ogbonna is found and made to answer for his crime.”

Meanwhile, the Winner of the 2019 BBNaija reality TV show, Mercy Eke, has addressed the rumours that she is having an affair with IVD, the celebrity car dealer.

A blogger had claimed Eke is one of IVD’s mistresses.

Reacting to the allegations in an Instagram live session on Saturday, Eke said she only had a business relationship with IVD.

The reality star said she bought a faulty Range Rover car from IVD in September 2020 and thereafter demanded that he “give me something equivalent to my car”.

She said Bimbo was aware that the car transaction was the “only connection I have ever had with IVD”.

A teary Eke also hurled insults at the blogger who circulated the allegation.
