*SANs To Pay N250,000 During Early Bird Window

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially released the registration fee schedule for the 2026 Annual General Conference (AGC), themed “Beyond Limits,” with Early Bird registration rates starting from as low as N40,000 for lawyers within 1-9 years post-call.

In a circular signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Bridget Edokwe Esq., the Association announced that the Conference is designed to be inclusive, progressive, and reflective of the diverse realities within the legal profession, with a structured fee regime that accommodates lawyers across all post-call categories, members of the Bench, senior practitioners, international delegates, and virtual participants.

Members are encouraged to take advantage of the Early Bird registration window, which runs from January 16 to February 28, 2026, offering significantly reduced rates across all categories.

Under the Early Bird window:

  • Lawyers of 1-9 years post-call will pay N40,000
  • Lawyers of 10-19 years post-call will pay N75,000
  • Lawyers of 20+ years post-call will pay N100,000
  • SANs, Attorneys-General, and Benchers will pay N250,000

Regular Registration

For those who miss the Early Bird window, Regular registration opens from March 1 to May 31, 2026, with the following rates:

  • Lawyers of 1-9 years post-call: N50,000
  • Lawyers of 10-19 years post-call: N100,000
  • Lawyers of 20+ years post-call: N150,000
  • SANs, Attorneys-General, and Benchers: N350,000

Late Registration

Late registration, scheduled for June 1 to July 10, 2026, comes with significantly higher fees:

  • Lawyers of 1-9 years post-call: N200,000
  • Lawyers of 10-19 years post-call: N250,000
  • Lawyers of 20+ years post-call: N300,000
  • SANs, Attorneys-General, and Benchers: N500,000

Onsite Registration

The most expensive option, Onsite registration during the conference from August 21-23, 2026, will cost:

  • Lawyers of 1-9 years post-call: N250,000
  • Lawyers of 10-19 years post-call: N350,000
  • Lawyers of 20+ years post-call: N400,000
  • SANs, Attorneys-General, and Benchers: N750,000

Special Categories

The NBA has also announced fixed fees for other categories of participants:

  • Magistrates: N75,000
  • Judges and Khadis: N100,000
  • Non-Lawyers: N150,000
  • Senior Lawyers (40 years post-call): N50,000
  • International Delegates (Physical): $500

Virtual Participation

In a move to encourage participation among young lawyers and make the conference more accessible, the NBA announced that virtual participation will be free for lawyers of 1-7 years post-call.

For other virtual participants:

  • Lawyers of 8+ years post-call: N25,000
  • International Delegates (Virtual): $350

In her circular, the National Publicity Secretary advised members to register early and participate fully in the conference.
