A former National Officer of the Nigerian Bar Association, Okey Leo Ohagba, has congratulated the Young Lawyers’ Forum of the NBA Port Harcourt Branch on the successful hosting of its 2026 Summit.

In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Ohagba commended the Executive Committee led by Smart Okpara, the Summit Planning Committee, and all young lawyers in the branch for organizing what he described as a “momentous occasion.”

The summit, held on March 27, 2026, at the Justice Mary Odili Judicial Institute, featured the theme: “Beyond Borders: Empowering the Next Generation in an Age of Disruption & Innovation.”

Ohagba noted that the theme is both timely and forward-looking, stressing that it reflects the urgent need for young lawyers to adapt, innovate, and remain relevant in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

He praised the Young Lawyers’ Forum for its consistent commitment to professional development, innovation, and the advancement of early-career practitioners within the legal profession.

While wishing participants a rewarding and impactful summit, Ohagba urged young lawyers to embrace innovation and continuously equip themselves to meet emerging challenges in the legal industry.

He concluded his message with a call for collective progress, encouraging participants to take advantage of the summit to broaden their horizons and strengthen their professional capacity.
