Armed kidnappers have abducted a senior lawyer and member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Keffi Branch, Garba Armi Esq., demanding N50 million ransom for his release.

The gunmen reportedly invaded Barr. Armi’s residence in Angwa Kare community near Keffi at about 11:30PM on Monday night, shooting sporadically before taking him away.
Speaking on the incident, NBA Keffi Branch Chairman Barr. Nuhu Igya confirmed the kidnap. He disclosed that Barr. Armi’s family received a call from the kidnappers Tuesday morning asking for N50 million ransom.
Barr. Igya strongly condemned the kidnap and urged security agencies to ensure the safe return of the lawyer.
The incident has sparked tension and outrage within the local legal community in Keffi and the NBA branch. Many have called for improved security and police presence to curb the incessant cases of kidnappings and banditry, especially at night.
Barr. Armi is a well known figure within legal circles in Nasarawa State as a senior member of the NBA Keffi Branch. His abduction is seen as an attack on the legal profession.
