President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to personally attend All Progressives Congress campaign rallies in 12 states as the ruling party rolls out its nationwide campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the campaign timetable released by the APC, Tinubu will formally flag off his re-election campaign in Kaduna State on October 24, 2026, before making selected appearances across the six geopolitical zones. The Kaduna flag-off had earlier been announced by the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.

After Kaduna, the President is scheduled to attend the Rivers State rally on November 7, Plateau on November 14 and Oyo on November 21.

He is also expected to appear at campaign rallies in Borno on November 25, Enugu on November 28 and Bauchi on November 29.

Tinubu’s personal campaign appearances will continue in December, with Sokoto scheduled for December 5, Delta for December 12 and Kano for December 17.

The President is then expected to attend the Adamawa rally on January 4, 2027, before making his final scheduled appearance at the APC’s major closing rally in Lagos on January 9.

In all, Tinubu is scheduled to personally attend rallies in Kaduna, Rivers, Plateau, Oyo, Borno, Enugu, Bauchi, Sokoto, Delta, Kano, Adamawa and Lagos, while other senior party leaders will lead campaign activities in the remaining states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The APC timetable covers all 36 states and the FCT, even though the President will not physically attend every rally.

In November, rallies at which Tinubu is not presently scheduled to appear include Cross River on November 2, Gombe on November 3, Nasarawa on November 4, Ekiti on November 5, Ebonyi on November 9, Jigawa on November 10, Ondo on November 11, Edo on November 12, Yobe on November 16, Kebbi on November 17, Akwa Ibom on November 18, Anambra on November 19 and Benue on November 30.

Other rallies on the wider timetable include Katsina on December 2, Ogun on December 3, Abia on December 7, Kogi on December 8, Osun on December 9, Kwara on December 10, Zamfara on December 14, Bayelsa on December 15, Niger on December 16, Taraba on December 19, the Federal Capital Territory on December 21 and Imo on December 30.

Some of the states selected for Tinubu’s personal appearances are also politically notable ahead of the election. Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, while Adamawa is the home state of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress. Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has also emerged as a prominent figure in the APM ahead of the polls.

The timetable comes shortly after Tinubu inaugurated the APC Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

At the inauguration, the President made it clear that he would not accompany the campaign council to every state, saying his responsibilities as President would continue to take priority even during the electioneering period.

“Nigeria needs more attention now than ever before. The responsibility of this office does not pause,” Tinubu said.

“The job must go on. However, I will still make time to speak directly with Nigerians, even as you lead the campaign in the states and local government areas. So you will excuse me from going everywhere with you.”

He also told members of the campaign council that they would be expected to mobilise voters and deliver their respective wards, describing the task of securing support across the country as central to the APC’s re-election campaign.

The party had earlier expanded its Presidential Campaign Council to include a number of prominent political figures as it prepares for the nationwide campaign.
