Mr. NICHOLAS ALADEJANA, the legal practitioner who was accused of enticing lawyers to vote for Paul Usoro SAN by promising them to pay their practicing fee has finally reacted to the allegation. The response was given in a disclaimer published by him earlier today. According to him, he hasn’t met the learned silk ever in his life neither was he responsible for the act attributed to his person. In an exclusive chat with TheNigerialawyer, Mr. Aladejana narrated his own account of the story. According to him, before the incidence, he was at Ekiti State. Later, he started receiving calls from people with respect to a post he made promising lawyers that their practicing fees will be paid if they voted for Paul Usoro SAN. He was surprised because he never did anything of such. ”I am a Corp member in Ekiti State. When the incidence happened I logged into my social media account only to find out that the same message was posted in many groups I belong to. It was posted to my local government group, including my church group. I have no interest in this. I have never seen Mr. Paul Usoro in my life before. I don’t even know him. I was just called to the Bar and therefore not even qualified to vote for the elections.” Mr. Aladejana stated emotionally that he has not even gotten a dime from practice. Speaking further he disclosed that after the incidence he has tried calling the number in the broadcast but it has not been going through. So he had to put up the disclaimer because he doesn’t know who to call. ”Before God and man, I am innocent of the allegation”, he added. SEQUEL TO A POST FLYING AROUND SOCIAL MEDIA IN MY NAME ABOUT BAR PRACTICING FEE BEING PAID FOR LAWYERS BY A LADY FOR PAUL USORO SAN IN CAMPAIGN FOR NBA PRESIDENCY, PLEASE IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT THIS BROADCAST WAS NOT COMPOSED BY ME AND NEITHER WAS IT POSTED BY ME. I WAS ALERTED BY CALLS ASKING ABOUT THE PAYMENT AND I WAS SURPRISED. THE REBROADCAST OF THE POST WAS MADE BY PEOPLE I DO NOT KNOW. I HAVE NEVER MET THE SAN PAUL USORO BEFORE, NEITHER DO I HAVE ANY CANDIDATE FOR THE UPCOMING ELECTION AND NEITHER HAVE I EVER VOTED NOR HAVE A ROLL NUMBER YET, I HAVE NOT REGISTERED IN ANY NBA BRANCH YET SO WHAT INTEREST WOULD I HAVE IN NBA ELECTIONS!?
