Lateef Omoyemi Akangbe, SAN, former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Branch, has extended a goodwill message to the NBA Bwari Branch — popularly known as the Cradle Bar — as it celebrates its 2025 Law Week.

In his message, Akangbe commended the Branch leadership and members for organizing the event and lauded the theme of the Law Week, “Lawyers as Agents of Change: Navigating Economic Reforms, Judicial Policy and Contemporary Issues,” describing it as both timely and deeply significant.

He said the theme calls legal practitioners back to the core of their professional calling — not just as legal experts but as “conscience-bearers of the nation, custodians of justice, and promoters of good governance.”

“At a time when the soul of the nation trembles under the weight of uncertainty, it is the lawyer — learned, courageous, and principled — who must rise to steady the scales,” he stated.

Akangbe further wished the Bwari Branch fruitful deliberations and praised its continued commitment to building a just and equitable society.

“I commend your efforts toward building a better Nigeria — one rooted in justice, equity, and accountability,” he concluded.
