A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa has commended the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for reducing traffic congestion at the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge due to its innovation of electronic payments system.

In a statement made available to TheNigeriaLawyer (TNL), the learned silk said:
“I commend the Lagos State Govt and the Lekki Concession Company, for the innovation of electronic payment system on the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. Predictably, the electronic payment system has reduced traffic congestion substantially. I passed through the bridge today to and fro, all in less than three minutes. The burden of Lekki dwellers has been reduced, whilst we wait to further observe.”
Adegboruwa, SAN however recommends the total eradication of any form of tolling the bridge was built with tax payers money. “Having collected the toll fees for well over a decade now, the govt should tell us how much it has so far generated from the toll fee regime, so that we know where we are.” he said.
The learned silk further suggests that the roundabout at the landing of the bridge on Admiralty Way should go completely so that proper movement can become easy for Lekki dwellers who don’t intend to use the bridge.
