Alleged rape: Nigerian lawyer sues R. Kelly

The singer, who has been accused of sexual abuse, statutory rape, grooming, and sexual coercion many times over the past two decades, has never been found guilty of any of the accusations. According to online accounts, lawyer alleged that Kelly had abused Rodgers “mentally, sexually, and verbally,” with the aim of embarrassing and shaming her. Hills took to her social media page to reveal her willingness to represent the victim and bring forth justice. “I’m proudly representing this victim of abuse and look forward to bringing her the justice and peace she deserves. I am extremely inspired by the courage exhibited by my client in this case. Enough is enough,” she added. The suit stated that Kelly forced his way into Rodgers’s hotel room and instigated unwanted sexual advances. It added that Kelly “disregarded specific statements made by Rodgers that she was ‘not ready to have sex.’” Rodgers in an interview with the BBC said, “I told him that I wasn’t ready for sex, that I don’t engage in sex the first time I meet somebody – that’s not who I am, that’s not what I’m comfortable with.” In the course of their relationship, Faith added that Kelly also asked her to sign a contract that would offer him “protection,” she, however, did not sign the agreement. Rodgers also claimed that Kelly raped her frequently, and locked her in confined spaces such as cars and studios to punish her for “failing to please” him sexually.
