The Independent National Electoral Commission has urged eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the remaining days of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise, warning that the registration window will close on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

In a public notice issued through its official X account on Saturday, the electoral body reminded prospective voters that they could complete the registration process online through its dedicated CVR portal or visit designated centres nationwide for physical assistance.

“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission stated.

INEC said eligible Nigerians could complete their voter registration online from start to finish through the commission’s CVR portal.

It added that persons who require assistance could visit any INEC state office, local government area office or designated registration centre to complete the process in person.

According to the commission, all registration centres will remain open daily, including Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise ends.

“You can complete your voter registration online from start to finish via cvr.inecnigeria.org. If you need assistance, visit any INEC State Office, LGA Office, or designated registration centre to complete your registration in person,” INEC added.

The commission urged eligible citizens who had yet to register not to wait until the final day, stressing that the exercise would close once the deadline expired.

The CVR exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections and allows eligible Nigerians who have not previously registered to be included in the national register of voters.

It also provides an opportunity for registered voters seeking to update their personal information, transfer their voting location or address other issues affecting their voter records.
