The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators has opened early bird registration for its 2026 ICMC International ADR Conference and Induction Ceremony, described as one of the largest Alternative Dispute Resolution conferences on the continent.

The conference is scheduled to hold on December 1, 2026, at the Abuja Trade and Convention Centre, by 9:30 a.m. WAT.

The theme of the conference is “Strengthening Nigeria’s Democratic Frameworks: The Role of Mediation in Social-Political Conflicts.”

According to the organisers, the event will bring together experts, stakeholders, mediators, policymakers and conflict resolution practitioners to explore the role of mediation in advancing dialogue, strengthening democratic institutions and addressing social-political conflicts in Nigeria.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for participants to interrogate strategies, configure peace patterns and establish effective justice and conflict resolution approaches for national development.

Early bird registration categories announced by the institute are ₦70,000 for Fellows, ₦50,000 for Members, ₦35,000 for Associates, ₦75,000 for Non-Members, ₦25,000 for Virtual Participants, ₦10,000 for Student Members attending in person, and ₦5,000 for Student Members participating virtually.

The organisers urged members, students and other interested participants to secure their spots early, adding that the conference would further deepen conversations around mediation, peacebuilding, democracy, justice and conflict resolution.
