The Principal Partner and staff of Tajudeen O. Oladoja, SAN & Co., also known as Ilal’amaam Chambers, have announced the official handover of Loyalty House to the firm’s longest-serving and well-deserving staff member, Mr. Usman Tagwai.

The handover ceremony is scheduled to hold on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at 14 Kubai Street, Unguwan Pama, Kaduna, Kaduna State.

According to the invitation, the event is being organised by the firm in honour of Mr. Tagwai’s long years of service, loyalty and commitment to the chambers.

In a personal tribute, Alhaji Tajudeen Olaseni Oladoja, SAN, Life Bencher, MCArb, said the beneficiary, Mr. Usman Tagwai, is his long-serving, dedicated and hardworking litigation clerk.

Oladoja disclosed that Tagwai, a Christian from Kigudu Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, joined his law firm on May 16, 1995, at the age of 34.

He said the gift of the house was in recognition of Tagwai’s over 31 years of unbroken commitment, loyalty, diligence, honesty and unquestionable integrity in service to the firm.

According to him, Tagwai has remained exemplary in punctuality, consistently resuming work at 8:00 a.m. and often staying beyond closing hours.

He further described him as a staff member with an unmatched grasp of every case file in the office, adding that he has become the institutional memory of the law firm.

Oladoja said their professional relationship had grown beyond the workplace into a family bond, noting that he had entrusted Tagwai with sensitive errands and personal responsibilities over the years because of his honesty and reliability.

He said Tagwai had handled confidential assignments, including errands to his village in Amodu-Asungbolu, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, and personal files relating to his children.

The senior lawyer added that he had also trusted Tagwai with banking assignments involving payment of his children’s school fees in naira and foreign currencies without any breach of trust.

Oladoja noted that Tagwai had become so close to the family that he now speaks Yoruba with ease, humour and candour.

“For these reasons, many of us fondly call him Baba Usman, and I personally call him Sarkin Fada,” he said.

He explained that the house is being presented to Tagwai as a pre-retirement gift to ease his life and support his wife and children.

The ceremony is expected to celebrate loyalty, integrity and long service within the legal profession, while also highlighting the value of staff welfare and employer-employee trust in law firm practice.
