The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has recorded a significant milestone with the formal establishment of the NBA Iseyin Branch, a development aimed at strengthening the Bar and expanding its grassroots presence.

The President of the NBA, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, who attended the historic ceremony, described the inauguration as a bold step toward enhancing professional engagement within emerging legal communities and deepening the Association’s reach across the country.

In his remarks, Osigwe congratulated the leadership and members of the new Branch, urging them to remain committed to the aims and objectives of the NBA. He emphasised that every Branch must stand for something meaningful and contribute actively to the advancement of the legal profession, the administration of justice, and service to society.

He noted that the presence of traditional rulers at the event reflected strong community support and signalled a promising future for the Branch.

The NBA President expressed delight at the pace of development already recorded by the Iseyin Branch, describing it as commendable. He said he was deeply honoured by the proposal to name the Branch’s Bar House after him, noting that the gesture was both thoughtful and humbling.

Osigwe extended special appreciation to Ahmed Raji, SAN, for his support, commitment, and contributions toward the success of the event and the broader vision for the Branch.

As part of the ceremony, the NBA President performed the foundation laying for the proposed NBA Iseyin Branch Bar House and also commissioned a brand-new Branch bus. He described both projects as clear demonstrations of vision, unity, and commitment by members of the Branch.

He commended the leadership and members for their foresight, organisation, and warm reception, expressing confidence that the Branch would continue to grow and contribute meaningfully to the objectives of the NBA and the overall development of the legal profession.
