The Council of Legal Education, Nigerian Law School, has acknowledged the receipt of applications from 46 universities ahead of the deadline for submission of applications on January 30, 2026.

The public notice, dated January 31, 2026, was signed by the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration.

The Council of Legal Education confirmed that the following universities have submitted their applications:

Abia State University, Adekunle Ajasin University, Adeleke University, Afe Babalola University, Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ambrose Alli University, American University of Nigeria, Arthur Jarvis University, Babcock University, Baze University, Benson Idahosa University, Bingham University, Bukar Abba Ibrahim University (Yobe State), Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Crescent University, Ebonyi State University, Ekiti State University, Enugu State University, Fountain University, Glorious Vision University, Godfrey Okoye University, Gregory University, Igbinedion University, Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Lagos State University, Madonna University, Niger Delta University, Nigeria Police Academy, Nile University, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Obafemi Awolowo University, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Redeemers University, Renaissance University, Rivers State University, Sa’adu Zungur (Bauchi State) University, Salem University, Taraba State University, University of Benin, University of Ibadan, University of Ilorin, University of Jos, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Port Harcourt, University of Uyo, and Western Delta University.

The list comprises a mix of federal universities, state universities, and private universities across Nigeria, reflecting wide participation from institutions across the country.

Among the notable federal universities on the list are Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Ibadan, University of Jos, University of Nigeria Nsukka, University of Benin, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and University of Ilorin.

Notably, the Nigeria Police Academy also features on the list of institutions that submitted applications ahead of the deadline.
