The Rivers State House of Assembly is scheduled to resume legislative activities from 10 a.m. on Thursday.
The assembly, led by Speaker Hon. Martin Amaewhule, will convene at the Assembly Residential Complex along the Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway.
Sources revealed that the 27 lawmakers had returned to the state days before the expiration of the six-month State of Emergency imposed by President Bola Tinubu, which had temporarily suspended democratic governance in Rivers State.
At the time of reporting, it was gathered that the legislators, already residing in the Assembly Residential Complex, were preparing to hold their first sitting since the lifting of the emergency rule.
